NEWS | Cross Platform Patch (32/64 Bit)

If you download moto4lin-0.3.tar.bz2 and try to use it on a 64 bit system it will not work. I have created a patch that works on my system, and should work on all 32 bit and 64 bit systems. You can get it, along with instructions on how to apply it, here: Entheos Technologies. Note that you also want to install lib64usb-devel rather than libusb-devel for a 64 bit system.

Note that this is an unofficial patch. For the more technically adept with experience using Subversion, you can get the latest official version(s), which also work on the x86_64 architecture. moto4lin (click on the Subversion link near the top.)

NEWS | Supporting new phones

Looks like new Motorola phones with VID:PID 22b8:2a62, 22b8:2a61 and some other in P2K mode have ACM interface too. So device is claimed by cdc_acm kernel module and moto4lin is unable to communicate with it. As a temporary solution it's possible to unload cdc_acm after switching to P2K mode and moto4lin should work. But sometimes rmmod cdc_acm is dangerous. I got kernel panic twice :)

Now i have some free time and want to implement support of new Motorola phones with VID:PID 22b8:2a62 in AT mode and 22b8:2a61 in P2K mode.
