Problems

Moto4lin is not showing the files

This problem is just to start with. I think this should be resolved before everything else.

Some information

I'm using the latest Ubuntu version, Etch.

Moto4lin is installed using the package.

I got Moto4lin to connect using p2k, the steps i used:

  1. installed moto4lin
  2. set the parameters as my user
  3. set the sticky bit on /usr/bin/moto4lin
  4. connected the phone
  5. started moto4lin
  6. sudo echo AT+MODE=8 > /dev/ttyACM0

These steps where thnx to the help in Razr_V3-HELP.

Moto4lin log:

[info] Phone pluged as AT
Try to connect
[info] AT phone found
[info] Switching device /dev/usb/acm/0 to P2K mode...
[error] Unable to open device
[error] Please check preferences
[error] Unable to connect
[info] Phone is unpluged # Step 6
[info] Phone pluged as P2K
Try to connect
[info] Phone connected as P2K

Now Moto4lin is showing Phone in the directory part of the main interface, but when i click on the phone i get:

Searching for
[error] Bad request or no files found

Anyone got an idea?

Added info from kbm:

I am having the same problem, using (K)ubuntu Fiesty and a krzr from Verizon. I think that I have tracked the problem down, but don't know what to do about it. The sysfs system knows about the device. Mine (with a memory card in it) gets a main device (ATTRS{product}=="Motorola K1m/L7c") and two sub devices (ATTR{interface}=="Motorola Communication Interface"). I have the cdc_acm module loaded, but lsmod shows it as not being used still. So we know the phone is there, just not what driver to attach to it, and therefore no device (/dev/...) is created. Since the usb system is aware of the phone, the pk connection will work, but activity that needs the device is out of luck. I don't know how to convince the system to attach to the device via cdc_acm. Dmesg says it's using 1 config of 1, but I don't know how to find that either! Still trying...
